Background
The main reason of the general sector for deploying
ESM is to gain competitiveness through integrated and consistent
management of the dispersed systems and security solutions. At the
same time, the company is gaining know-how about security analysis
and an efficient management structure.
That is, the integrated
management of each individual security system in the headquarter
and branches increases not only the efficiency but also prevents
an outflow of corporate data from the internal network by assigning
a certain access authority level to each administrator. Furthermore,
SPiDER-1 also allows storing and managing mission-critical events
in a separate location. Additionally, it was also necessary to achieve
a smooth system management of the network traffic in the WAN area.
Description
The different management mechanisms of the headquarters
and branches were integrated to achieve a central management structure.
The LAN/WAN area is designed as the integrated control system for
the integrated management of the security solutions, and a SPiDER-1
Agent is deployed to each of the security systems of the headquarter
and branches. The central control center in the headquarter monitors
and manages each individual security system by applying the same
security policies to all systems
Result
Achieving an enforced control function through consistent
but at the same time differentiated security policies, so that only
administrators with a certain authority level have the right to
access. Thus, this measure helps to prevent internal hackings.
External
hacking incidents are prevented through real-time central monitoring,
real-time correlation analysis of events and statistical data. These
measures help to eliminate risk factors for a systematic risk management
process.
